Terms & Conditions

When placing an order with The Chic Hamper Co. the following terms and conditions form the basis of the contractual relationship between the two parties.

ORDERS

  • When placing an order with The Chic Hamper Co. by telephone, email, website or any other media the customer is deemed to have read and understood the companies terms and conditions.
  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
  • Orders are accepted 48 hours prior to delivery after which point the customer is unable to cancel the order without written agreement from The Chic Hamper Co.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. aim to offer a next day delivery service for orders made before 12.00pm, Monday to Friday. Delivery can only be made to mainland UK.
  • Changes to an order can be made given reasonable notice (usually 24 hours) in writing and any additional payment being made. The required change should be emailed to hello@chichampers.co.uk and must specify the order number and required change. An acknowledgement of the change will be sent to the customer. 
  • All goods remain the property of The Chic Hamper until they have been paid for in full.
  • No hampers or gifts will be dispatched without cleared funds being received.

PRODUCTS

  • Some products contain nuts, egg, milk and other allergens. Customers are asked to refer to product packaging for further information. Chic Hampers rely on our suppliers to provide all allergen information for their products.
  • We guarantee a minimum shelf life of 5 days from point of despatch for perishable flowers and goods, the customer needs to be aware of this timeframe when scheduling an order and delivery.
  • To maximise the enjoyment of the products supplied we recommend that the food and drink items are consumed as soon as possible after delivery and definitely within the dates given. Some products will need to be refrigerated. The Chic Hamper Co. cannot accept liability for any spoiled products if they are not stored in the correct manner once delivered.
  • Due to the nature of the products any weights or dimensions listed are approximate only and packaging may vary from those shown.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. use hampers, baskets and wooden boxes which are hand-made from natural materials, so the colour and shading of the finishes may vary.
  • In the event of supply difficulties, The Chic Hamper Co. reserve the right to substitute goods or packaging of equal quality and value.
  • Gifts containing alcohol can only be ordered by and delivered to persons aged 18 and over. – Under the Licensing Act of 1964 (UK) and 1976 (Scotland) and under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 for any person under 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, alcoholic or intoxicating liquor.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. work hard to ensure all products are accurately described throughout its various sales literature and product descriptions.  Only items listed on the Contents List are included in the gift or hamper ordered. Any other items shown, such as demonstrative foods and drinks, plates, glasses, cutlery and other utensils are not included.
  • The product images shown on the website and other promotional literature are intended for presentation purposes only. Gifts and their contents are configured for safe and secure transit using the appropriate packaging methods, employed at The Chic Hamper Co’s. discretion.

DELIVERY

  • The Chic Hamper Co.  use a third party to deliver their products and we will do our utmost to ensure deliveries are made on the required date, however we cannot 100% guarantee delivery on the date.
  • Goods are shipped from our premises the day prior to the delivery date
  • Whilst The Chic Hamper Co. will do their utmost to ensure deliveries are made on the requested date, please note that such dates serve as estimates only and cannot be guaranteed in any way.
  • It is wholly the customers responsibility to provide in writing clear and accurate delivery details including full delivery postcode. No order will be despatched without a post code.
  • Any claim for non-delivery of any Goods shall be notified in writing by the Customer to The Chic Hamper Co. Ltd within 5 days of the intended delivery date. Any claim for damage to any Goods shall be notified in writing by the Customer to The Chic Hamper Co. Ltd within 24 hours of delivery.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. deliveries are effective for delivery to a building and not a specific individual recipient/s.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. reserve the right to charge the Customer an additional fee for carriage, repeat handling or unusable content in the event of a failed delivery caused by the supply of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address by the Customer, or due to recipient absence or non acceptance of order.
  • Gifts containing alcohol can only be ordered by and delivered to persons aged 18 and over. – Under the Licensing Act of 1964 (UK) and 1976 (Scotland) and under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 for any person under 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, alcoholic or intoxicating liquor.

RETURNS POLICY

  • Orders placed with The Chic Hamper Co. are covered by our satisfaction guarantee so in the unlikely event the recipient is not satisfied the item can be returned to us within 14 days of the item being delivered.
  • If the item is not faulty, it must be returned unused, unopened and in the original undamaged packaging. 
  • The customer is responsible for returning the goods to us at their own cost, and include a printout of the invoice or the order number
  • Refunds will be issued upon safe receipt of the item. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.
  • The Chic Hamper Co. are unable to accept returns or make refunds under the following conditions;
  • The order includes any perishable goods such as cheese, flowers or meat,
    • There are no personalised goods,
    • The order is a bespoke product,
    • Damage has occurred by circumstances beyond our control this includes but is not limited to damage and neglect after goods are delivered or goods being stored incorrectly

FORCE MAJEURE

  • The Company shall not be liable for any failure in the performance of any of its obligations under this Agreement caused by factors outside its control.

LAW AND JURISDICTION

  • The terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
